Enrolments FAQs
We encourage you to enrol as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Places are offered based on availability and the date the application is received.
Siblings are given priority on the waiting list however; a sibling is not guaranteed enrolment if places are limited.
Early Years (Reception) places are allocated as enrolment applications are received. Formal offers for Early Years are made (to those with allocated places) two years prior to commencement. Subsequent offers are made as places become available.
Families on the waiting list for Years 6 and 7 intakes will be invited to attend an information session when their children are in Year 4, 5 or 6.
Interviews for casual places at all year levels are offered as vacancies occur.
In the event that we are unable to place your child in your preferred year level in the year of application, your application will be rolled over each year until your child is offered a place or you ask to be taken off the waiting list.
To ensure we don’t lose contact with you, it is important that you keep all your contact details (email, postal address and telephone) up to date.
Trinity College has two Early Years (Reception) intakes per year. The first intake in Term 1 is for children who will turn five years of age on or before April 30 each year. The second intake in Term 3 (mid-year) is for children who will turn five on or before October 31 that year.
Early Years students’ progress at their own pace through the Early Years and Year 1 curriculum over two or two and a half years. Mid-year entry students gain the benefit of spending an extra six months in an Early Years class.
If you’re unable to confirm acceptance of an offer, you’re welcome to choose to stay on the College waiting list, opting to wait for a possible place in the final round of offers. As many families on College waiting lists are eager to know if their child has a place, we are not able to hold a place open.
The acceptance fee does not come off your fees. This payment secures your child’s enrolment at Trinity College. As a not-for-profit organisation all income Trinity College receives assists with funding the outstanding facilities and vast array of programmes and opportunities available for students.
The current fee structure can be viewed here. School Card Rate and bursaries are available for eligible families. Trinity College also offers sibling and early payment discounts.
There are a number of Middle School and Senior School scholarships open to students currently attending the College and external students wishing to attend.
Fee accounts can be established at any time so that you can save for future school fees. Payments can be made by BPay, direct debit or in person as your budget allows.
There are many opportunities for prospective families to join a morning or afternoon College tour with the Head of the College or school Principal. Tour dates and times are published on the College website. Additionally, a College Open Day event is held every year on a Sunday during Term 1.
If you are unable to attend a tour or Open Day, please contact the Enrolments Team to discuss alternative options.
Trinity College has waiting lists for some year levels and prospective parents are encouraged to discuss their family circumstances with an Enrolment Team member. Your child’s name can be included on waiting lists for multiple Trinity College schools.
The Trinity College model of a central administration with key shared facilities, connected to smaller dedicated school sites allows students to experience the advantages and resources of a large modern College, while benefiting from the personalised and individual attention traditionally associated with a smaller school.
The College currently comprises five Early Years (Reception) to Year 10 schools that feed into a Senior school for Years 11 and 12.
Trinity College North, South and Senior are located on the same site at Evanston South; Trinity College Blakeview is located in Blakeview and Trinity College Gawler River is located in Angle Vale. A fifth Early Years to Year 10 school, Trinity College Roseworthy, will open in 2024.
The College core curriculum and policies are common across all schools. The students wear the same uniform, with a different shirt colour or colour band on the school dress to denote each school.

The languages other than English (LOTE) offered to students are:

The school Principal and Learning Support team work with the student, family and any engaged external agencies to develop, implement and monitor adjustment plans which recommend strategies and support specific to each child’s learning needs.
Trinity College is an accredited Dyslexia Aware school and teachers undertake Dyslexia Awareness training and other related modules pertaining to diverse needs. The College also has a one-to-one Learning Assistance Program (LAP) offering personalised mentoring sessions for nominated students in Early Years to Year 10. Relevant information about the child’s individual needs is collected as part of the enrolment process and, if necessary, an appointment with the Head of a sub-school and/or a learning support staff member is then arranged to discuss the child’s specific needs and how the school is able to provide the best possible learning environment for them.
Gifted and talented students are challenged and extended to the best of their abilities through extension and enrichment activities within the classroom. Some subjects are streamed to cater for different academic levels.
Trinity College also offers a range of academic extension co-curricular activities at each College school.
Trinity College has three Defence School Mentors (DSMs) that work across all sites. The roles were established in recognition that some Australian Defence Force (ADF) children experience difficulties transitioning into and out of a school upon posting or during parental absences due to deployment, exercises or courses. Several private bus companies run services for Trinity College students. Please refer to the Transport webpage for current details. The College also has two buses that operate between College sites in the mornings and afternoons, including free bus transport for Blakeview and Gawler River students to the Gawler site for after school College co-curricular activities.
For older children, the Tambelin railway station is a short walk or bus ride to the Gawler site. College schools are also serviced by Adelaide Metro public buses.
Trinity College follows the Australian Curriculum. In the Junior School, the focus is on developing literacy and numeracy skills. In Middle School, students study core compulsory subjects and are also able to choose from a wide range of optional subjects from Year 9.
While at Senior School students can choose from 47 South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) subject options in addition to numerous Vocational Education Training (VET) courses.
The diverse range of options allows for many pathway combinations for our students.
The College’s curriculum is enhanced by an exciting and extensive co-curricular programme that includes sport, cultural, technological and academic extension activities.
Extra-curricular activities include service trips, cultural tours, band and robotics competitions, sports exchanges and an annual ski trip.
Trinity College operates a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programme for students in Years 7 to 12. A strength of the BYOD model is that it provides students and families with choice and control. It is possible to choose a device that has the features that best suit the individual student rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. The enrolment process to attend a Trinity College preschool and or a Trinity College school is separate. Families should also be aware that if their child attends a Trinity College preschool this does not guarantee enrolment for that child into a Trinity College school.
Places in Early Years (Reception) are allocated by the date the Trinity College school Application for Enrolment is received.
There are generally a number of structured school visits prior to your child commencing at Trinity College. These can include information sessions, orientation and/or transition days.
All Trinity College sites offer Out of School Hours Care before and after school, as well as vacation care programmes. STARplex also offers holiday programmes as well as specialist sporting clinics.
Uniform sales
STARstore (located in STARplex) is the sole supplier or the Trinity College uniforms. New families are encouraged to book a 30-minute uniform fitting appointment and make any uniform purchases well ahead of the start of the school term as it may be necessary to order some items, particularly if a specialty fitting is required. STARstore also offer a made to measure service on most garments for students with special requirements. Trading hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 12pm. School text books and stationery
Box of Books is Trinity College’s preferred supplier of school text books and stationery. Prior to your child starting school you will receive a link to the College Family Handbook and to the Box of Books text book and stationery order form. Book and stationery orders can be placed online. Physical delivery of books will be shipped to your home address while digital books can be accessed by students from the beginning of Term 1.
Trinity College is an Anglican school that is open to all, regardless of religious affiliation. The College celebrates key dates on the Christian calendar, such as Easter and Christmas and holds Christian services. Many religions are explored within the College curriculum.
Trinity College is open to everyone, no matter where they may reside.
Trinity College is fully inclusive and has zero tolerance for bullying. The College Bullying Prevention and Intervention Policy and Cultural Safety and Inclusion Plan explain the College approach in detail and are available to view on the website.
The College has a strong focus on wellbeing, including building positive relationships and friendship skills using programmes such as the internationally recognised Friendology Programme.
Trinity College Year 12 students’ results are consistently above both the state average as well as for ‘like schools’ as determined by the SACE Board of South Australia. Trinity College SACE results are published on the College website. In the past five years, over 200 students have joined the College Club 90 honour board for student who achieved an ATAR above 90 placing them in the top 10 percent of Australia.
