Preschools

At all Trinity College Preschools, children flourish, relationships thrive, and learning is celebrated.

With a passion for educating the whole person, Trinity College offers a world of opportunity for all. We are are committed to providing the highest quality Preschool education for children from ages 3 to 5 and their families.

Incorporating best practice Early Years pedagogy and based on the Early Years Learning Framework we support and develop the social, emotional, creative, physical, and cognitive potential of each child.

Children learn through play in a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment and our curriculum includes themes of kindness, honesty, and joy, helping children learn about Christian values and how to care for themselves and others. This balanced approach helps build a strong foundation for learning and life.

The Preschool Day

At our Preschools, each child is known, valued and supported by a team of dedicated educators who are passionate about nurturing curiosity and inspiring a love of learning. Every day offers something new but is grounded in familiar routines that build children’s confidence and provide a strong sense of security.

Children arrive from 8.30am and are welcomed into a warm and engaging environment where they begin their day through purposeful play and meaningful interactions. A morning group time invites children and educators to come together through stories, songs, shared conversations and a light snack, before heading back into a day rich with exploration, collaboration and creativity.

Our flexible and responsive program is guided by children’s interests, needs, strengths and developmental stages. Educators observe and extend learning through intentional teaching and thoughtful engagement.

Lunch is enjoyed in a social setting and, while rest is not formally scheduled, quiet spaces and downtime are always available to those who need them.

An afternoon group time invites children and educators to come together through stories, songs, shared conversations and a light snack, before heading back into a day rich with exploration, collaboration and creativity. Children finish their preschool day at 3.30pm.

Families are always encouraged to connect with educators, sharing in the joy of their child’s learning journey.

Children have the option to continue their afternoon at our onsite After Preschool Care service until 4.30pm.

We also offer a holiday program that provides an option for families during term breaks, with children able to attend on their usual enrolled days.

While our teaching staff take a break, the program is led by our familiar team of qualified educators, ensuring continuity of care in a safe and engaging environment.

Play Leads to Learning

Our play-based, program supports inquiry-led learning that nurtures every child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Teaching teams plan collaboratively with each other and with families, using the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), incorporating its principles, practices, and outcomes alongside the Trinity College Teaching and Education Model (TEM).

This integrated approach ensures the provision of rich, fun, meaningful individual and group experiences for children in the two years before starting school.
