Golf
Based at the Sandy Creek Golf Club, the Trinity College Golf Academy has been established to benefit student players from beginner to advanced, with the key objective to provide a positive, fun and stimulating environment that fosters a life-long involvement with golf.
The goal of the program is to progress the skills of the players so they are able to compete in the School Sport SA golf events, including:
- 12 and under championships (individual, modified course with 150 metre holes)
- 18 and under championships (individual, stroke and stableford, GA handicap required)
- Team Stableford competition (Teams of 3, with GA handicap)
The program is open to students in Years 3 to 12. With limited places available, players are grouped according to both age and experience.
Beginners receive tuition in all aspects of the game, including putting, chipping, bunker play, irons and woods. Golf clubs can be provided (both right and left-handed) if required.
More experienced players are involved in competitive drills to improve their scoring.
