Co-Curricular Information & Changes

Many co-curricular activities are hosted at STARplex or at opposite ends of the school. This may necessitate a requirement for two or more educators to be present. As a result we have adjusted fees for a one way fee (to co-curricular) or a to and from fee (co-curricular and return to OSHC).

We require a signed co-curricular form to be completed and returned to the Director or Assistant Director stating the exact weeks, times and location and each activity. It is important that if your child is using this service that our information is up to date. Only then will we drop off and collect your child from their activities.

It is also very important that you let your child’s coach know that your child is attending OSHC and will be escorted to and from this activity. They also have a duty of care and need to know who is collecting the children in their care at the time.

To ensure children are moved safely around the school to and from various co-curricular activities, we have introduced a fee which will allow an OSHC Educator to escort each child booked into the OSHC Service for the relevant session, to and from their activity. Children are expected to sign-in at the OSHC Service first and will then be escorted to their activity by an OSHC Educator.

At the completion of the co-curricular activity, an OSHC Educator will be waiting to escort them back to the OSHC Service. The Co-Curricular Escort Fee is $5.00 per session if your child will not be returning to OSHC after the co-curricular activity, or $8.00 per session if your child requires pick up from the co-curricular activity and care at OSHC after.

This fee is compulsory for each child participating in a co-curricular activity while they are booked into the OSHC Service. We would greatly appreciate it if you could inform us if your child’s co-curricular activity has been cancelled, or if your child is not attending. If the co-curricular activity has been cancelled, it is the families’ responsibility to inform OSHC. If OSHC has not been informed of cancelled co-curricular activity, the co-curricular escort fee will still be charged.
