Trinity College Girls Move Closer to the Shield

After another outstanding effort, our female athletics team placed second at this year’s Independent Girls' Schools Sports Association (IGGSA) Carnival. 

Only 32 points separated Trinity College from first place winners Immanuel College. Our U14 Girls Div 1 and Open Girls Div 1 teams took first place for their age groups, U15 Girls Div 1 finished equal second with St Peters Girls College, our U16 Girls Div 1 placed second and our U13 Girls Div 1 placed fifth overall.

Last year the girls placed third overall and are closing the margin with each successive meet. We had 56 top three finishes with 23 of those first-place wins in a 107-event program which is outstanding effort.

Special shout out to Willow Morgan (Year 9) who qualified for the U21 Women’s Championship 100m final race and placed third which is a huge achievement for a junior athlete.

Congratulations girls you should be incredibly proud of yourselves! 2025 has been an incredibly successful year for Trinity athletics.
