Trinity Athletics are State Champs Again!

What started as a wet and rainy day transformed into sunshine and rainbows as our track and field team won two out of three divisions at A grade athletics. 

Trinity College Athletics was crowned Boys State Champions, and Combined State Champions after a successful A1 championship day last week.

The boys narrowly defeated archrivals St Peter's by a mere 12 points (461 - 449) to claim their fourth title in six years, while our girls team finished in a very respectable second place to perennial athletics powerhouse Loxton High School. The combined total for the boys and girls of 842 was well clear of second-placed Immanuel College on 765.5

The morning started franticly with multiple changes having to be made on the bus on the way to the event. 

The boys were successful in winning their division by 12 points over St Peters College, While the girls were second to Loxton High School by 44 points however, given the amount of changes that were made to our girls team in the days leading up to the competition, the girls that competed on the day should be very proud of their efforts.

A first and second placing meant that Trinity were the overall combined winners beating Immanuel College by 76.5 points.

The highlight of the day was the fantastic performances of our relay teams who all finished in the top four helping secure massive points for the college.

A huge thank you to all the coaches and staff who helped out on the day, and an even bigger thank you to the students who stepped up to fill events at the last minute.
