Trinity and Army Bands Perform a Salute to Service

On Sunday 23 June, the Australian Army Band, with special guests the Trinity Senior Concert Band and combined Trinity Choirs merged for a special concert in the beautiful new Marnkutyi Parirna Theatre.  

The Australian Army Band Adelaide is South Australia’s premier Defence musical capability whose mission is to enhance the image of the Australian Army by providing musical support to both Defence units and the community. The main ensemble is a 35-piece concert band and also features other capabilities including a big band, jazz ensemble, brass quintet, woodwind quintet, rock band and a marching band for ceremonial occasions.

The band can perform everything from jazz to classical and Broadway musicals, to rock and anything in between and prides itself on performing concert programmes that appeal to all age groups and all tastes of music, setting it apart from other musical ensembles. 

The students and staff embraced the opportunity to perform in this unique celebration of music, tradition and community, performing to a full house of captivated and appreciative audience members.
