Students Excel at Balaklava Eisteddfod

On Friday 4 August, Rhys Young and James Skelton (Year 11), Erin Doudle (Year 10) and Jack Dexter (Year 9) took part in the Senior Instrumental Ensemble section in the Balaklava Eisteddfod.

They played superbly in their clarinet quartet. Each student has given an outstanding contribution to the rehearsals and preparation leading up to this event and were honoured to have been awarded not only first prize in the Senior Instrumental Ensemble section at the eisteddfod they won the Championship Trophy for the best Instrumental Ensemble overall on the day!

The adjudicator of the competition, a well-known local music educator, raved about their mature playing and the enjoyment they were able to generate and share with the audience.
