November 08, 2023

The Trinity College Foundation hosted a Spring Luncheon in the Pavilion on Tuesday 7 November.

The fundraising event attracted a cross section of guests from the Trinity community who all embraced the spring theme while enjoying the action of Melbourne Cup festivities. Catering and service was provided by Year 10 North Catering students who all excelled at being chefs, kitchen crew and waiting staff.

Students prepared an appetising three courses that included roving canapés of barbeque prawn and mango cups, chargrilled nectarine and prosciutto bruschetta, smoked salmon blini, bacon, haloumi and pesto bites and vegetarian mini quiches. Main course was a delicious Moroccan honey glazed chicken with couscous and roast vegetables followed by a trio of desserts and tea and coffee.

A highlight of the luncheon was a fashion parade of stunning formal and casual attire supplied by Brides and Bloom and Peter Shearer Menswear and Suit Hire that was modelled by Year 11 students.

In addition to sweeps, guests could also purchase raffle tickets to win a selection of donated prizes including a $500 clothing voucher from Peter Shearer Menswear and Suit Hire, a bottle of Pol Roger Champagne Vintage 2015 as well as a stylish women’s handbag.

The Trinity College Foundation Board extends their congratulations to all students on their outstanding efforts on the day as well as their sincere thanks to all guests who attended. The event raised over $1,800 and all proceeds will support the Foundation to provide opportunities for Trinity College students to reach their full potential.
