First XI take out national tournament

The First XI soccer team travelled to the Gold Cost during the April school holidays to compete in the Southport School tournament which featured teams from all over Australia. The team was all class throughout the week, eventually proving too strong for the hosts in the final. Full story Tournament promo video

Pickert, Pudler awarded elite squad scholarships

Trinity College soccer players Dylan Pickert (Yr10 Gawler River) and Jordan Pudler (Yr9 South) have landed elite state-level scholarships for 2012 in the South Australian National Training Centre (NTC) program. The two are currently undergoing intensive training in preparation for the National Institute Challenge, in Canberra in early December, where the Australian Institute of Sport will be choosing its future scholarship holders. After that, the elite squad will be playing in the Super League Reserves whilst undergoing intensive training throughout 2012. Congratulations to both boys.
Open A team presented with playing jerseys
(Nov 4): The State-Champion Open A soccer team were presented with their playing jerseys on Wednesday in commemoration of their historic win. To mark the achievement, all members of this year's team received their jerseys from College Head Nick Hately with "State Knockout Soccer Champions 2011" embroidered next to the Trinity College emblem. Mr Hately addressed the team and guests, as did coach Lee Cockerill, who summed up the season that will forever go down in Trinity Sport folklore.

Futsal competition at STARplex
STARplex is offering a Futsal competition at STARplex on Fridays commencing in term 4. The competition will host age groups from U8-U16. If you're interested, contact Joseph Campbell at STARplex.
Open Soccer scores outstanding results
Trinity College's Open Girls and Boys soccer teams have both returned
outstanding results in their respective State Knockout Competitions. The Open Girls played on Monday, Sept 19, winning their way through
to the final, only to concede a late goal to lose 2-1 to Henley HS. A fantastic result nonetheless.
At the time of writing, the Open
Boys Soccer team had made it through to the State final against
Rostrevor College, scheduled to be played on Wednesday, September 28, 7:30pm at Burton
Park. Get down there and support them.
Night soccer arrives at Trinity College
Trinity College will host its historic first-ever night soccer game against Prince Alfred College on Friday, August 12 on the Waldeck Oval. The move is an exciting step in Trinity Sport and will further showcase the College's excellent and versatile facilities while adding another dimension to the high-quality soccer program at the College.
Kick-off for the Open B's will be at 5:15pm, with the Open A's clashing at 6:45pm. Trinity would like to encourage all College Sports fans to show their Pride and come along and support the teams.

AIS Scholarship for Ben Warland
14-year-old Ben Warland from Trinity North has been awarded a 2011 soccer scholarship to the Australian Institute of Sport. (Full article)
The last year has been a fury of high achievement for Ben, including National U/15 All-Star selections, SASI and State representation, Adelaide United Youth Team selection and a training opportunity with Adelaide United in the A-League.Trinity College wishes Ben all the best in his elite sport journey and looks forward to seeing him in national colours in the future.
Trinity duo win national program selection
Trinity College South Students Lachlan Brook and Jai King-Burn have been selected in a Football Federation of Australia elite skills acquisition program. Although both just nine years old, the pair were two of only 75 athletes to be chosen from a pool of thousands nationally. Only 12 were chosen from South Australia in the program which will be overseen by former Socceroo and Adelaide United player Richie Alagich. Good luck to both boys in the program. Trinity Sport is looking forward to helping them achieve their dreams.
