Parent and Community Involvement

Trinity College is very proud of its community spirit and high level of parent participation. One of the outstanding characteristics of our school is that parents are involved in their child's school life.

For many years now research has confirmed the importance of Parents and Teachers working together. Today it is widely accepted that when parents express confidence in their school and are involved in it in some way, their children are likely to be happier and perform better in the classroom.

Gawler River acknowledges this, and that the business of education requires a consistent three-way partnership - Parent, Student, School. There are many formal and informal opportunities for Parents to become involved and for the School to develop this partnership. I encourage you to become involved in your child's education.

FamilyLink is now available

Now that student movement between classes has largely finished, we are pleased to announce the opening of the FamilyLink portal.

FamilyLink click here

Access to FamilyLink is totally secure, relying on a password and username (the Synergetic ID number which appears on your fee statement) to give you access to your family record.

The web site is ‘secure’ (https) which means that any passwords entered are ‘encrypted’ before being transmitted across the Internet. Your password was printed on your January fee statement. The login screen has links which will enable you to change your password (we recommend that you change your password the first time you visit the portal), or to have it emailed to your registered email address (i.e. the address which you have supplied to the College) if you have forgotten it.

If you did not receive a password please email familylink@trinity.sa.edu.au for assistance.

The information in FamilyLink is organised into a number of pages (tabs):

  • introduction page
  • results page
  • timetable page
  • absences page
  • attendances page
  • finance page
  • interviews page
  • contacts page
  • 'my profile' page

All queries regarding the portal should be addressed to familylink@trinity.sa.edu.au
