From the Principal
Welcome to Trinity College Gawler River School. I extend a warm greeting to both new and current families and trust your involvement with our school and College in 2012 and beyond will be a mutually rewarding experience. I hope your child has made a successful start to the 2012 academic year and I not only invite, but encourage all families to become engaged in a vibrant and dynamic College and the life of our school.
I express my gratitude to my colleagues who have been working conscientiously on the classroom environment, programme and activities to enable an effective and productive start to the year. We welcome new members to our teaching team and look forward to the contributions they will make to the lives of our students and College. We wish them every success in the year ahead.

Communication
A key form of communication to families is our newsletter (eNews) which is published and distributed on Fridays on even weeks. Additionally our College website provides a wealth of information and I encourage you all to make use of these publications.
Parent Information Sessions
An information evening will be held on Monday 6 February for families with students in Reception to Year 10.
The Junior School (R-4) class session will commence at 6.30pm with parents invited to visit their child’s classroom to discuss their educational programme with the class teacher. At 7.00pm a session for all families will commence which will contain pertinent School and College information and feature a range of speakers in the School Theatre. Upon completion, Junior School (Years 5-6) and Middle School (7-10) families are invited to their child’s respective classroom and year level areas.
A crèche will be available on the evening and families wishing to utilise this service are asked to book with our Front Office prior to the event no later than 3.00pm on Monday 6 February. I encourage your attendance at this important event.
If you are unable to attend respective staff and myself are available to meet with you at a mutually suitable time.
Capital Works
A WLAN tower is to be installed in the south western area of the school with preparation already underway. We anticipate this project will be completed by the end of this week. There may be minimal disruption for those wishing to access the overflow car park (The Block) during the installation period. Families will be duly notified if required, of any such restrictions.
