Foundation

Trinity College is the product of the visionaries who established the College in 1984 and the successive generations of headmasters, principals, governers, teachers, students, parents and old scholars who have nurtured and developed Trinity to become the largest leading independent school in Australia.

Trinity College Foundation was first formed in 1995 by a group of people brought together by their dedication to Trinity College. Their desire enlisted the interest and financial support of the members of the College community and friends of Trinity to support the students and develop, maintain and enhance the facilities, resources and general environment of the five schools.

Trinity wishes to be at the forefront of education and it is important that our facilities and resources are renewed and enhanced to meet the needs of current and future students.

While the College uses the income it receives from fees and government funding to support many capital developments it is not able to cover all and the Foundation is an important source of supplementary funds.

By supporting the Foundation, you are investing in the education of students of today and tomorrow. As current students are the recipients of past generosity, future generations will depend on the continuing and vital support of current parents, old scholars and friends of the College.

Today, the need for funds from our community to ensure the continued leadership of Trinity College as a College of Excellence is as great as it ever was.

Cirkidz perform at Foundation Dinner

Held at the Hyatt Regency Adelaide, the 2008 Foundation Dinner & Auction was a circus extravaganza celebrated under the big top in the Regency Ballroom.

Guests were amazed and inspired by circus artists, Cirkidz, who demonstrated their amazing capabilities while roving during pre dinner drinks and again later in the evening when they performed a daring stage show.

Our Foundation Scholarship of Excellence recipients, Shauna Madigan (2008) and Madeline Peters (2006) spoke eloquently about the wonderful support the scholarship has provided not only themselves but also their families.

Trinity Old Scholar and Network 7 Reporter, Caroline Kelly was Master of Ceremonies for the evening and did a remarkable job of keeping proceedings on time while the band, Triplescore, had people grooving on the dance floor well into the night.

As part of the circus theme guests were supplied with toffee apples, fairy floss and more importantly, a red foam clown’s nose. The red noses were purchased through Sids & Kids South Australia to support their red nose day on Friday June 27. Hyatt staff and guests got into the spirit of the occasion sporting red noses throughout the night.

The Foundation would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all those who attended the evening, particularly to their supporters ACER, Alpine Constructions, AMCOR Glass, Datacom and National Australia Bank.

The generous support of the College Community enabled the Foundation to raise $18,000. These funds go directly towards Scholarships, Awards of Excellence and Citizenship Awards which provide wonderful opportunities to our students.
