From the Chair
Welcome to the Trinity College Foundation web
page, we hope your visit is informative.
I have been associated with Trinity College
since 1994, initially as a parent and then as a Member of
the College Council and for the past seven years, a Member of the
Foundation, currently serving my sixth year as Chair.
The Foundation is steadily evolving
as the
major friend and fund raiser initially envisaged by the dedicated
group of people who formed
the Foundation in 1995.
We continue to enrich the lives of Trinity
students through our financial support of the Libraries, Foundation Awards, Scholarships
and
small gifts for the College to assist with special events.
Being
a part of the Foundation has been a fulfilling role. In 2005
we supported 23 students through our Awards of Excellence,
granted
three scholarships, recognised 10 students with Citizenship Awards
and, due to our Annual Giving Appeal, were able to provide funds
to the College Library.
With the help of the College community, major sponsors
and benefactors, we hope to see the Foundation grow to a position
where it can
support and enhance the College in a way that will see it become
part of
Trinity College history.
